Default Laptop Wireless disconnecing based on bandwitdth???

My new US Robotics card keeps disconnecting from the wireless at the
Doubletree that I'm staying at this week. I have narrowed it down; it
seems to be related to the amount of data being downloaded.

If I am just browsing, the data intensive pages make the wireless
disconnect, the light pages seem to hang in there. But, I tried
downloading some stuff, files from work, and I get disconnected
immidiatly. As soon as I stop the download, the wireless reconnects, I
restart the download, wireless disconnects. (says, wireless connection
not available).

I have proven this 10 feet from the access point and 300 feet from
access point.

Any ideas folks? I'm pretty pissed off, talk about frustrating.

One other thing, the card is new and seemed to work fine at my home, so
I can't rule out the hotel, but they swear I am the only one with a
problem.

Thanks, James.
