Default Linksys SRX

Is SRX by Linksys really an improvement in wireless reception, or just
puffing?

What if all one has is the wireless PC card with SRX, but not a router
with it?

Does the router also have to have SRX to take advantage of it?

Thanks

If you are inclined to email me

Yes, the router has to be SRX to take advantage of it...
