Default Professional strength router

Hi All:
I have a customer that is adding five or six wireless laptops in his
office. Currently we are using a Linksys WAP54G that has been very
reliable but with the new folks coming on board we feel it would be a
good time to move up to a more robust piece of equipment.

Can you please recommend a wireless access point that is a little more
on the professional level but still affordable?

Some hardware versions of the WAP54G absolutely suck. I'm suprised
that you find them reliable.

Nope. The WAP54G sells for about $70 retail. If that's your price
point, you won't find anything that even comes close to being both
quality and also "affordable". It would be helpful if you would
disclose what you consider to be "affordable". For example, a good
Cisco 1242AG access point can be found used for about $250.

Well, he wants $350 but that's a bit much.

Anyway, what do you consider to be "affordable" by your customer?

Also, you might want to reconcile the Subject line, which says
"router", with the content, which says "access point". They're quite
different.
