It's not as horrible as it sounds. I'm one of those people that just
will not read instructions until after I get into trouble. The
results are predictable.
TekRADIUS looks about as simple as it gets. However, it does make the
assumption that you have an SQL server available, which may be a
problem. Read the docs and see if you can handle it:
<http://www.tekradius.com/Manual.pdf>
I haven't tried it yet, but it looks like MySQL runs on Windoze:
<http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/mysql/5.0.html#win32>
So much for simple.
Life is not so simple with Windoze Server 2003 IAS. I think I used
this guide (not sure but looks familiar):
<http://articles.techrepublic.com.com/5100-1035-6148579.html>
for my initial installation and setup. I then spent some time digging
through the MS troubleshooting guides:
<http://technet2.microsoft.com/WindowsServer/en/Library/ecc10b32-898a-435f-9d5c-01c25fb4d1f61033.mspx>
I eventually uninstalled the whole mess, rolled the registry back to
before I started, and tried again. It worked.
