Especially when those legends are factual.

The gross ignorance of commercial manufacturers seems to be
unlimited, but I would guess that it's more than likely the D-Link
reference was to the incident that concluded with this denouement:

I believe that the final agreement included removal of most of the
posted documentation by the NTP operator, but there is some history

The D-Link ntp configuration story is true as well.
