That's the latest version. It would have been nice to recall the old
version numbers because the version history document says that 2.05 is
the only version for the WAP11v2.8. I'm not certain this is actually
correct, but that's what the doc appears to say.

So far, you've done everything perfectly.

The manual says to hold the reset button for about 10 seconds to reset
everything to factory defaults. If your network uses a different IP
address layout and you reset the WAP11 to defaults, your PC will not
see the WAP11.
The setup utility should see the WAP11 no matter how different you
have your LAN's IP's configured. Local personal firewalls sometimes
cause problems. Disable XP SP2 firewall, Norton, McAfee, ZoneAlarm,
etc. If it still doesn't see your WAP11, then you may have created a
paper weight. Perhaps try the setup utility from a different
computah.
Just for fun, try to ping 192.168.1.251 and see if anything comes
back. That's the default IP address of the router.
Most Linksys products can be flashed using a TFTP client. However,
these won't work until you can "see" the WAP11. I'll save these for
desperation later.
