1. Does your Sony Vaio have a model number? Is so, what is it?
2. Does your Sony Vaio come with an operating system? If so, what is
it? If Vista, see:

3. Out of curiousity, what wireless access point or router are you
trying to connect to? If it's yours, has it been upgraded to the
latest firmware?
4. While not directly relevent, I don't like the way some
manufacturers have been dragging with Intel Proset updates. The 2100
is an 802.11b only device and has a variety of "issues".

You might consider buying a later device (Intel 2200BG) on eBay.
5. What's a WPB?
