Sure, but not being in their service area, it's difficult to be sure.
The local cable modem service is "burstable" to 15Mbits/sec. All but
the very slowest routers can handle that. See the list of routers and
the WAN->LAN thruput at:
<http://www.smallnetbuilder.com/component/option,com_chart/Itemid,189/>
One catch is that if you are using some of the CPU cycle gobbling
features in the router, such as a VPN termination, complex filter
rules, or local USB storage, it's going to be slower than what the
tests indicate. In that case, you should do your own testing using
IPerf. See my examples at:
<http://groups.google.com/group/alt.internet.wireless/msg/6ae3fb0ef9594b6d>
and correction at:
<http://groups.google.com/group/alt.internet.wireless/msg/e1159dd712e70de2>
Also search this newsgroup for "IPerf". If it works on a test setup
between to computahs, you should have no problems using it with a
20Mbit/sec service.
