Default trouble connecting d-link DWL-820 through DI-634M to internet

Hi.

I have a DWL-820 'gaming adapater' attached to a laptop (ip address
192.168.1.135, subnet 255.255.255.0, gateway: 192.168.1.1). I can
connect to the admin utilities of both devices, and I've defined valid
DNS servers on the client attached to the 820, but for some reason I
can't browse the web (or ping the dns servers for that matter). Any
ideas?

Thanks,
MIke

Silly me -- just set the router on the client attached to the DWL-820
to 192.168.1.1 and it works.

Well, yeah, you set the clients to route their packets to the gateway, not
to the interim bridge device (the gaming adapter). The gaming adapter only
has an address so it can be reached for configuration. It doesn't respond
as a router. Glad you figured it out!
