Is it possible to use a wap54g wireless access point plugged into an
ethernet card on a computer to connect to a wireless router? How would
I do this?
When I connect a network cable to the wap from my pc and try to connect
to the wap using 192.168.1.245 it does not work. I tried resetting...
do I have to configure something before I can connect to the WAP in
this way?

Should be able to connect to the WAP using the IP address. Make sure you
hold the reset button for a good 45 seconds. Also some linksys products now
require admin as username and admin as password at the login.
As far as I know a WAP54G can only connect as a client to another WAP54G and
not a router.
