Using Dell US network driver downloads in UK

I am in the UK trying to upgrade the driver for my wireless card (Dell
TrueMobile 1400 Dual Band WLAN Mini-PCI Card).

The dell.co.uk site is redirected to the euro.dell.com site which has
all the downloads on it and there is only one download for my card
(there is no choice).

The description of the download includes the words "Download this
driver only if you reside in the United States."

Does anyone know why Dell apply that restriction? Does it matter?

At a guess because the US driver will have 2 less channels available
than the UK one. That shouldn't present a problem for you unless you're
trying to access an AP on those other channels.
