Default WPA2 Personal Setup

Dell Inspiron 8600 w/ Dell minipci 1450 Card and Linksys WRT54GC
WinXP

Trying to get WPA2 Personal working between the two.

Dell states that the card can perform WPA2 but the
http://certifications.wi-fi.org/wbcs...ucts.php?TID=2
only says WPA.

Currently WPA-PSK w/TKIP works fine but just trying to get WPA2
to work.

My first question is clarification on WPA2. Is WPA2 the same as
WPA-PSK with AES encryption?

If I try to setup WPA-PSK w/AES I get a connection
and M$ states I have authenticated, but I am unable to ping the router.

If I set it back to TKIP, all works.

Just searching for a solution if possible.

Already have this version. I also have the most recent version of the Dell
1450
driver.

I was hoping that would make a difference when I started having the problem.
I was
bummed when it made no difference.

Thanks,
moncho

OK. If you happen to be using XP Wireless Zero Config, that might be
the problem.

However, there are some parts and pieces of WPA2 missing:

I put in the update and it started working but then the network
connection would drop every 2 minutes.

I found out that the Dell software was causing the problem,
shut it off and now all is well with WPA2-PSK.

I feel a little more secure now.

Thanks for the links
