Default WPS and security

The Linked In Mac Group recently included a rather intense article about
WPS and how it was a hole in WiFi security. How big of a deal is this in
real life and is my Airport Extreme likely to have a problem?

A link would help. I think the problem you are referring to is that
scheme where the router picks the password after you push a button on
the router. That is hackable. Just pick your own password.

Also UPNP can be hackable on some routers. Don't enable it.

This is the link I have, although I think it goes through the Linked In
Mac User Group so I don't know if it will pass this through.

I don't have a router with that push button setup. However, if you
create the passphrase yourself rather than use something automatic, I
believe you are safe.

Steve Gibson talked about this hack a few months ago.
