Default Aboriginal children get free laptops

From
http://www.thewest.com.au/default.as...ntentID=132784

An international charity that puts free laptops into the hands of
impoverished children has started a trial with Aboriginal communities in the
Pilbara.

The US-based One Laptop Per Child initiative will give 130 laptops to
children in remote Punmu and Kunawaritji communities.

The laptops are water and shockproof and have microphones and web cameras.

Pilbara MP Tom Stephens said RAWA Community School teachers would be trained
to use the computers before the laptops were given to children in May.
