Active Sync Palm Treo 750 to laptop via Bluetooth

Anyone here own or used a Treo 750? If so, have you been able to connect it to a
PC or laptop via Activesync over a Bluetooth connection?

I've failed miserably in trying to get mine to connect. I can establish a
connection to the phone for file transfer (not using Activesync) but when I try
to Activesync it, after configuring it as per the destructions, when Activesync
scans the com ports (BT is set up as COM1 on the laptop) it says "no mobile
device found" after scanning all available ports and pinging like a sonar
(annoying sound)

I can activesync it via USB connection, but not via BT.
