Are you FUCKING STUPID? Read the post again moron, I believe the
competition needs to be at the reseller level. The only way to get
decent coverage all over Australia is to have one network, with
competition at the level we have now none of the providers including
Tel$tra give a fuck about anything but major population areas.

Wrong, as always. We got that with the GlobalStar system, fool.

CRAP, the resellers can have different pricing and services and not have
to worry about the infrastructure!

Optarse coverage is FUCKING Pathetic in the Yarra Valley where I live,
so don't give me shit about better coverage!
As I said before the current situation does not encourage any network to
improve coverage all over Australia, they are only interested in having
coverage where they can generate the most revenue!

Wrong, as always. With a govt monopoly providing that infrastructure,
with that monopoly not having to give a damn whether the resellers like
what they are providing or not, because its a monopoly with no where
else for them to go, they will have one hell of a problem, fuckwit.

It is indeed.

Because only fuckwit povs 'live' there, not worth bothering with.

Its true anyway, fuckwit.

Have fun explaining the GlobalStar system, fool.

Bare faced pig ignorant lie.
No surprise that its a 'security' goon and no one is actually stupid
enough to employ it do to anything more demanding that pet ape.

I recently travelled 3000KM throughout Outback NSW with a few mates
and had bloody good coverage with Optarse, even on the remote Barrier
Highway which is in the middle of fuckall.
So you're talking bullshit. You must have some shitty handset or
you're full of crap.

Have fun explaining why Optarse has better coverage in some outback
towns than Telstra. Funny that.

Or both.

Hardly, there has always been 3 fifths of bugger all wholesaling on both GSM
and CDMA with Telstra
Telstra never really got into wholesale on mobiles

As soon as the decision was made (over 2 years ago) customers were told it
was being shut

clearly not. none of our current mobile networks existed when telstra was a
monopoly in mobiles

Pathetic.

Pity about those who bought their cdma handsets before that.
And plenty that were sold cdma after that decision had been made
werent told at the time they signed up for cdma that it was planned
to have the plug pulled on it on the 28 Jan just past either.

No pity at all. Those that bought their handsets <2 years arent on contract
anymore.
The contract defines Telstra's obligations. If there is no contract their is
no obligation to provide an ongoing service

Irrelevant to whether they are entitled to be able to use those
handsets when they werent warned that telstra would pull the
plug on the cdma system when they bought those handsets.

Thanks for that completely superfluous proof that you have never ever had a
fucking clue about even the most basic consumer law, or anything else at all, either.
