Default Disgruntled Telstra 0500 Telepath One-Number Users

As has been reported recently, Telstra is dicontinuing the 0500 Telepath
One-Number system. Whilst Telstra has not sold the product for some years,
existing subscribers have been able to keep their numbers....... until now
(as this is another wank 'product exit' strategy).

Telstra's Communications Manager Rod Bruem (fat-gutted Phil Burgess'
sidekick) is a hearltess arsehole when it comes to commenting on conerns
voiced by a volunteer group that will lose their 0500 number (quote from the
NowWeAreWanking propoganda website: "it's a little cute for Wildlife Vic to
cry foul and hide behind the fact that it's a 'community organisation'.").

I would urge all 0500 Telepath number holders to complain to their local
Federal parliamentarians and to the ACCC, remind them of Telstra's promises
back in 1997:

"One-Number-for-Life" and "one number, which can remain yours for a
lifetime, or at least as long as you want it." Telstra Group Managing
Director, Retail Products & Marketing, Lindsay Yelland 11 March, 1997.

They were given over 12 mths notice. Which was an unusually long time

The number doesnt do anything, it just lands calls on other number. So just
advertise your real number, or get a 1300 number like everyone else.

You can get em for like $10-$15 a month, and they are much more flexible.
Get with it
