How does Optus Prepaid Max accrued credit work?

Hello,

I am writing from Canada - doing research into prepaid market.

I read the following:

Customers have 30 days to use the credit and if they recharge within 30
days, unused credit will be rolled over up to a maximum of $500 worth of
credit at one time1, to recognise customer loyalty.

What happens to someone that is on automatic top-up via credit card and
their credit goes above $500 (when rolled over)?
