iPhone 3GS or the Palm Pre?

Now that they've been released and they are supposedly competing directly
against each other, which one would you guys go for?

And why?

And do you think that either are in a position to compete with the Blackberry,
given that it has the greatest corporate takeup of all smartphones out there.

If you already have Apple kit (iPod, Mac, iTunes music/video/app purchases
etc), definatly the iPhone 3G or 3GS (unless you actually NEED the extra
functions in the 3GS, get the 3G). As for the Pre, since a GSM or UMTS
version doesn't even EXIST yet, its not even an option. But me, I would
rather pick the HTC Dream or some other Android phone instead of either the
iPhone or Pre)

The iPhone, Pre and HTC Dream are targeting totally different markets to
the Blackberry and none of those 3 will target Blackberry or Windows Mobile
anytime soon.

I wouldn't touch either, but if i had to choose one, i'd go for the
iphone - purely on the basis that the Palm Pre has got a dicky little
physical keyboard. After using the virtual keyboard on my Nokia 5800, i
wouldn't touch anything with a physical keyboard - and the unnecessary
moving parts that come with it.

I've never liked the iphone much, too limited in a host of areas.

It does however have one real advantage, it does tend to be what
those who write some very decent software tend to support first.
