LG has announced that over 500,000 units of LG TU500 series handsets have
been sold in Australia. This phone carries Telstra's blue tick of approval,
signifying recommendation for rural handheld coverage.
According to LG, when used with a directly-coupled car kit, the LG
TU500/TU550 provides maximum coverage across the Next G network. This
flip-top phone comes with 1.3 megapixel camera, video, MP3 player, and
wireless Bluetooth.
LG's National Sales Manager for Mobile Communications, Joe McNamara said,
"LG TU500 and TU550 have received Telstra's Blue Tick to make it easier for
customers to recognise that they have been tested and recommended for rural
handheld coverage. Extreme reliability and low failure rates of the handsets
have contributed to the success of the phone and further demonstrates LG's
commitment to expanding national mobile coverage."
Available now through Telstra's Next G network, the LG TU500 comes in a
stylish black finish and is available for $199.
