Default Motorola V3xx - NextG flavor - Opinions?

In the Telstra shop today checking out the various phones that are
available on NextG. Missus is up for a new one soon so we're checking out
what's available.

Anyway, I was looking at the V9, the V6 and the V3xx (nextg model). Apart
from the V9 being expensive to buy outright and it's also on a high
$60/mth plan (can't get it on a capped plan), it seems to be the best of
them as far as specs goes.

Then there's the V6 which is only available on a pre-paid but is
considerably cheaper at $299 ($10 call credit).

Then, at the bottom of the pack there's the V3xx on a $30 plan I think it
was.

We didn't have time to get the guy to test them all so was unable to
actually compare how the screens looked, how they sounded, etc. One day
when I get time I'll go back. Or I'll drop into another store.

Just wondering what you guys think of the above phones. My main concern is
that they, or whichever one that I'd get, can sync. the calendar data and
contacts with Outlook. Or that when sync'ed Outlook or the software that's
used with the phone will populate the phone with the data, and make it
ready to use as a min-PDA.

Also had a look at the Telstra 165. Boy, what a tough looking phone that
one is. It has an extenal extendable antenna. Pity that all the NextG
phones didn't have this. Probably would make them better for marginal
reception areas.

No worries. Just tell me what color the phone was and I'll keep an eye out
for it.

I have a V3xx and it works brilliantly. Has 3.5G/HSDPA and
outstanding call quality and reception. It's also a hell of a lot
faster than the crappier V3/v3x.

Great phone IMO. Totally pisses all over the plastic junk from Nokia.
