NBN 2.0 question

If priority is given to regional areas in the roll-out of the NBN, does this
mean that Telstra will have to wait longer before it switches over its
customers to the NBN and gets paid to do so, as the roll-out to the majority
of Australians is delayed?

Does this mean that the $11 Billion deal that Telstra agreed to will be
worth less to it than it was before the election?

Would Telstra want to re-negotiate that deal, to compensate for any delay in
payments and the resulting oppertunity cost?

It remains to be seen how long the rollout in the capitals will be delayed for, if at all.

Its more likely they will just roll out the NBN in regional
areas and most of those use Telstra infrastructure.

The market doesnt appear to think so.

Time will tell. It hasnt been put to Telstra shareholders for approval yet.

Corse the govt is by far the biggest Telstra shareholder even now.
