Nokia E-71 problem: says "sending text message"

Hi,

For the last 2 weeks my Nokia E-71 has been saying "sending text message"
when I am not trying to send a text. I have updated the firmware and this
has not fixed the problem.

Nobody has complained that they are receiving a blank sms. I am concerned
that I may be billed for text's if the phone is actually sending a message.


What is likely to be the cause? How can it be fixed?

Most likely its failing to send a badly composed text message and keeps trying.

Is there anything in the outbox ?

There is nothing in the Outbox.

Then get nokia to fix it.

You could also try pulling the battery for probably 30 minutes, and then
putting back in. May help.

Because some mobiles do keep stuff long enough so that a battery swap has no effect.
