Optus: external email to SMS

Does Optus have a service which will allow someone to email a mobile
phone? In other words, convert the email text body into an SMS (or
MMS).

So far I've only been able to find a product that has a different
focus: explode one email to multiple phones. I just want a simple
paging function.

I'm not sure that Optus still offers email => SMS.

However, www.mbox.com.au does - and it is quite economical.
It's email => fax service is also quite good too.

mbox has been around for a long time and developed a reputation for being
unreliable. The bad days are now gone - its ownership changed a while ago,
money has been spent on the technical side of the operation and it now meets
"The Family's" high expectations.
