So, for years when away from home, I've happily checked my home email
using Mobilemail over GPRS WAP, linked from the Optus Zoo WAPsite on
my phone browser. You just pay for your WAP use.
I tried doing it last weekend - no go. Error message says I have to
register for Mobilemail on the Optusnet webmail site. Hmm.
Just went to set it up - and it's going to cost $4.95/mth.
Optus - get f#!%ed.
Instead, I've downloaded Prevoy MobileMail to my Nokia 3120 as a java
application and that happily reads my POP3 email. And all it costs me
is WAP fees.

You may find it alot cheaper now since your phone will not use as much
bandwidth since its not having to download optus web pages as well the
the email content.
Ironic their attemp to extort money from you results in less money going
to them

I've just taken a look and downloaded/installed movamail. It looks really
excellent, shame that I can't actually use it with isim. Seems that the GPRS
isnt really. or something.
