Really? I see ONE Sony Ericsson phone that's actually able to be purchased,
the K800i (incorrectly listed, by the way, as a non-3G phone). The cheapest
plan it's available on with no up-front cost has a $60 minimum spend and
very average call rates.

Great deals? Only if you're blinded by Telstra's spin machine.
