Default recording phone conversations

when a company or business records phone conversations say when your booking
accomodation etc does the said company have to inform the caller that the
conversation will be recorded and if its been recorded does the company have
to give you the choice of telling the operator that you dont want the
conversation recorded.

Nope, they are legally entitled to record anything they like
and dont have to give you the option to not be recorded.

Thats true of you too, you can record the conversation yourself
as well and dont have to tell them that you are doing that.
