Default Telstra BigPond too slow and too expensive, say its users (and anybodyelse with a clue)

Not new fucking news, although sycophants like Alan 'You stole my JB
name waaaahh' Parkington would disagree.

Seeing only 29 percent of the user base of EVERY isp is satisfied, hardly a
fair result.

If BP has such a bad business model as some claim, why does it have 47% of
the market? Why are other ISPs like Singtel Optus, Dodo etc all now counting
uploads in their quotas?

And to follow up:

BigPond corporate affairs manager Craig Middleton said Telstra was

Because of all the uneducated fuckwits who get misled into thinking
200MB is a 'lot' and lured into a 'free modem' on a 2 year contract with
high exit fees.

Another garbage statement, fuckwit. Much like there one saying they'd
win against the government in court.

Pity about the fact that DSL Direct is wiping the floor in metropolitan
areas and their subsidiary (Virgin) is wiping the floor with their
completely TLS bypassing wireless product.

Pig ignorant lie. No surprise that they gave you the bums rush.

Pathetic.

> If BP has such a bad business model as some claim, why does it have 47% of the market?

Because there are that many fools around who arent even capable
of working out who to sign up with, but plenty stick with telstra for
other reasons like they are stupid enough to want just one bill etc.

> Why are other ISPs like Singtel Optus, Dodo etc all now counting uploads in their quotas?

Another bare faced lie, only a couple of others are doing that, liar.

It's partly a legacy of tel$cum's monopoly. Most people in Australia have
still got tel$cum landlines - because they've always been tel$cum and, as
Australians have proved over and over again, most people don't like to
actually *think* unless they're forced to. They're already dealing with
tel$cum and when they think about getting, say, broadband, and they see
some lying advert from tel$cum about how cheap their service is, it's the
easy option - requiring the minimum of thought.
