Hardly surprising given that they were forced to delay the cdma shutdown
and the delay wont change even if more change away from cdma now.

And still being advertised on Telstra's website for $149

http://shop.telstra.com/webapp/wcs/s...&SMIDENTITY=NO

Plus the link given by thegoons says $149 too (the Flash animation).

WTF is thegoons on about?

it said $299 for a few days until i wrote to the editor of the propoganda
website NWAT and they corrected it

However, it still says it's a 'GSM' handset. The LG-Shine handset pages show
the NEXT-G logo beside them too. Telstra, totally useless

That explains it then. Incidentally, about six weeks ago I wrote to the
editor of the propaganda website "Tell The Truth Telstra" to point out an
error and they completely ignored me. (It doesn't look like they're
updating that site anymore, anyway.)

The Shine IS a Next-G handset, isn't it?

In your case, suspense by the neck with a decent rope is the only thing that makes any sense.
