Default Unlocking Motorola phones. Can it be done?

Hi,
I think I've made a big mistake. I bought some Motorola phones for my
family (wife and I and 3 kids) who all use Virgin and Vodaphone cards. The
phones came with $10 Telstra prepaid cards. What I didn't know was that the
phones can't be used with other companies cards. I went to Vodaphone and
they told me to talk to telstra. Telstra said it would cost between $50 and
$100 each to 'unlock' the phones. She wasn't able to tell me the exact
price.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Who is Vodaphone? I know about Vodafone, but I don't think Vodaphone exist.

If you tell us the model we can google it for you.
Many modern phones can only be unlocked by the provider, if at all.

Go to www.goole.com.au and enter in Vodaphone then click on the "I'm
feeling lucky" button.

No surprise you are unable to tell the difference between a call centre and
a graphic design business.

Head down to the markets and speak to you favorite asian unlocker. Be
prepared to shell out $20-$30 each. Next time read the fine print that
says, unlock before this time or this amount will cost $x, indeed if
it can be unlocked.
