Default using a 3 mobile data modem in NZ?

Hi All

I have a 3 mobile USB modem - I am going to NZ for a week or so and need to
have data access while I am there. I have been looking at the Vodaphone nz
site and see that they have a data plan without the included USB modem - so
I am thinking of signing up for a month and cancelling once I am done.

But .. I am not sure if the 3 Mobile USB modem is network locked - it is the
same model as the australian vodaphone and optus one. Any one know?

Cheers
Kyle
