What is NextG?

What is NextG, in terms of frequency, radio bandwidth or whatever.

I'm looking at a couple of Motorola V6 NextG phones on Ebay. One of them
has this in the specs for the phone:

Bands: WCDMA 2100 HSDPA 3.6 Mbps , GSM 900/1800/1900 GPRS/EDGE class 10

I can't see anything about this that says that it's NextG, which runs on
850 Mhz.

As for the cost, I wonder why this guy thinks that we should buy off him
instead of going into a local Telstra shop and picking it up for the same
price, or less if they haggle, and if it dies you take it back there, plus
you don't have to pay shipping.

So it's a normal 3.5G phone and won't work on NextG.

I sent the guy a note asking about this. He hasn't responded. Oh well,
