Which WIFI service would you recommend?

I will be traveling to Australia on holiday in a few week and would like to know what mobile wifi services are available there? I will be there for a month and I consider myself as a heavy internet user. I have been looking at Vodaphone pocket wifi as a solution.

Please let me know if there are other options available.

WIFI services are available anywhere in the world, you need to find an open network in range to use.

Plenty of free wifi spots, even on the Ferry in Sydney, but for more than a quick email check, get a pre-paid wireless card - I had an oPtus pre-paid usb dongle but switched to tethering via a Tel$tra iPhone - more $ but much faster in city

I know that Vodafone has nice deals on prepaid wireless cards.
