Default new zealand has nice people

Yep, the people in your country are friendly, helpful, non-judgemental... I'd love to live in New Zealand! The people here, from what I've seen in this forum, are as courteous and un-self-absorbed as can be! Nobody tries to be really "tough" and "flame" you cuz they hide behind their computers in their un-important little lives, like many do in America. It's nice to see such openness and acceptance of somebody from a different area like myself.

I have to say that New Zealanders or "Kiwis" as they are affectionately known, have a certain amiable hospitality that sets them apart from the jerks in the world. You all should be proud.

I'm glad to have been able to chat with you here on this forum. The assistance I've received has been openly gracious and wonderful.

Thank you!

I'd say your looking in the wrong place, we don't sell domain names here. Nor do we give away free internet (directly)

Best of luck with your online ventures though

I know what you mean ShadowX! Here's another one -- I hate people who charge you money JUST SO YOU CAN EAT! Can you believe that? And I also have to pay money to someone so that I can have a place to lay my head down to sleep. The worst part is, if I'm injured or sick, the hospital REQUIRES me to actually have to pay them to fix me. What's this world coming to when people do things to try to make a living providing a service?

The sad part is that these internet registrars FORCE you to pay THEM to lease the domain for a year, and repeat it EVERY YEAR!... I mean, who do they think they are? How can they just "own" a word or a bunch of characters? Why -- it's almost like everywhere you turn, people are trying to make money! I just don't understand it, but I'm with you. I sure hope I don't get anywhere near the investment back that i put into these domains... cuz then I might keep doing it-- under the false pretense that buying and selling domain names (ie being a domain squatter), might provide a source of income for me in jobless America.

Thanks for your input!

You're talking to people who have at one point in time been a hardened Kiwi student. Did you know that the coldest homes in New Zealand run at about 2 degrees celsius? (in farenheit that equals "f-cking cold" or just above freezing point) and those are student flats. Also as students you get used to a staple diet of noodles and beer. Fish and chips or fast food is a luxury.

So before you go whinging, just remember there are "homeless shelters" and "foodbanks" and things could definately be worse for you.

Oh, and as a throwback to our more socialist days, we get relatively free healthcare - we only pay for GP or private healthcare.

As we are in NZ we'll happily plod along with our tld.nz addresses, you can keep your silly american .com's as far as I'm concerned.

(I only speak for myself, not everyone here)

You brought it upon yourself by quite simply being in the same camp as the rest of the scum of the internet: spammers, script kiddies and squatters. Cry as much as you want, if you're in any of those 3 groups, your opinion means diddley squat (ironic pun?)

We arent "hiding" we're just being upfront and honest, as most kiwis are...
Go hide behind your stupid legal system and your monkey of a president.
Now before you go calling me a yankee hater, I have friends in Colorado and San Fran, I also have a friend here in NZ who is ex USAF. Stereotype us and you'll get it returned.

Moron.

Whetu,

So I guess I had better generate that invoice for him

the thing is that if he had put the post in the correct area and it was not so much "in your face" im sure most of us would not have worried about it.

But then... I still hate domain squaters!

Andrew
