Default Thomson wi-fi security

Hi,

The wi-fi button on the router(TG585 v7) is flashing red.

My wi-fi connection is fine and my wi-fi card is using WPA-PSK, not
WPS. The conection speed and link strength are excellent. I do not
seem to have a problem.

There is a laptop that belongs to someone else. It appears to be
switched off, but it probably has a battery.

Can I assume that the flashing wi-fi button on the router is due to
the laptops lack of wi-fi security.

Any advice appreciated.
