Bad Reception With Cell Phone Inside Home

Hello all,

I'm currently using AT&T as my wireless provider. I've had 3 different basic cell phones with them. Each phone had the same problem with people not being able to hear me during conversations. My current phone is a Samsung Solstice SGH-A887. This problem only occurs while I am using the phone in my townhouse. Under AT&Ts' suggestion I have been turning the phone off daily.

Is this poor reception due to using a basic cell phone in a home or AT&T's service? Is there a basic phone and provider you would recommend to resolve this problem?

I have no plans on upgrading to a Smart phone/4G service.

It sounds like you have a problem with poor cell phone reception in your townhouse. As soon as you walk outside your house does your signal increase? At Harris Communications we make cell phones work inside buildings. Check out the Harris Communications website for more information.

Our office uses like a cell phone booster thing. They have one setup at the window and one up on the roof in the other building. There's a small box inside the office and we get our signal from that. Only problem is our phone reads the signal from the box so if the box gets a bad signal we don't know about it until our calls drop.
