Please move this as needed as I need an answer. This issue is NOT addressed in the owners manual. This concerns a KYOCERA KX444 cell. I have both the home charger and the car battery cord. The home charger works fine, the car cord does not. Indications are, home charger--- phone is powered OFF, charger plugged in at both ends, screen is dark, message, "BATTERY IS CHARGING" can be read. Car cord--- Same conditions, same message, a led lites up at the lighter plug. Battery lasts 2 days and then dies. Apparently the battery is actually NOT charging. Is this true? Is the phone capable of charging this way? Is it possible the car battery and the phone battery are not compatible? Polarity issue? The cord was packaged with the phone although it is not branded. Do most phones charge this way? My sister has a collections of phones no longer used. No car cords though. How do I find the correct cord for one of her phones provided the phone can charge in the car 24/7. Please leave message here. I will be notified. Thanks

Reason: making changes
It sounds like you need a new battery, but if a new charger should suffice you should be looking for a Kyocera branded car charger with a part number of TXCLA10030
