I'm unsure of what to do...

I have a Samsung Stripe that I purchased last year and I'm ready to upgrade. I would like to upgrade to a Samsung Behold and I'm unsure of what to do. Will I be able to switch the SIM card from the Stripe to the Behold? I have the Stripe on a "Pay-as-You-go" type of plan. So, will this plan still work if I swich the SIM card to the Behold? And if the switch is sucessful will the widgets on the Behold work or just have the same features limited to the Samsung Stripe?
