Default Mobile Location Data APIs

I just registered at the LOC-AID dev zone and they are giving pings away for free for the first 100 developers with valid LBS applications.

Check it out: developer.loc-aid.com

your phone is not directly connected to the internet, data is re-routed by your service provider and it will therefore show their location. if you want to find it you can report it stolen to your service provider and they may be able to track it down by telling you the location of the cell tower where it is currently connected.
