Nokia 5180 TIME ERROR issues

Its kind of frustrating to know, that after you just purchased a one year service plan....that your airtime units will expire on 04/12/02 ! Has anyone else ever experienced such time error issues? Don't even know where to begin to troubleshoot something like that.
