Before phones had access to the mobile Internet we know today, they had WAP. It was slow as hell and couldn't be used to accessing full webpages. Phones, such as Nokia, has platforms built for WAP use, which you could use to download games or new ringtones.
Edge changed the game really. Allowing us to access the "Internet" (with URL's and everything!). |
