Default 2 way wifi amplifier?

I have a coax network that goes to different rooms, and I've succeeded in running wifi signals from our router through the network to get reception in each room by putting antennas on the coax ports. It's not very strong if I connect it to more than 2 rooms, so I need an amplifier.

The question is, would the amplifier work if I put it right in front of the router? That means that incoming signals would not be amplified until right before the router (useless), but DO incoming signals NEED to be amplified? Or do I need an amplifier right before the antenna so incoming signals are amplified before they enter the coax? Either way, outgoing signal would be amplified.

there is a 2 way RF amplifier. It is called a gain antenna.

antennas work both ways. amplifiers work one way.

to improve reception via amplification you would have to cool the front end. NASA uses liqid nitrogen. bit of a hassle to use around the house

Solve RF problems with antennas

Well, there is no single answer to that question but you need to use your internet by placing and then removing the wi-fi router to see the difference. There isn't any other way to find it .

1- Best solution for you is to use a Ethernet Over Power Lines.

If you still insist to use Wireless and want to run signals in your existing coxail network.

Use 1-Watt Dual Sensing Amplifier connect your coaxial where normally we have to connect Antenna.

OR

3- Use a thirdparty firmware on WRT54GL and increase its TX Power, don't forget to place a heatsink and fan on main wireless chip of router.

4- Use D-Link 2100 and increase TX Power, also place heatsink and fan on main wireless Chip.
