Exclamation 4.9 GHz MIMO ~ LMR-240 vs LMR-400

Hi, I’m trying to figure out if there are any cons to using LMR-240 cable in a point-to-point MIMO setup. The hardware setup is typical; a 4.9GHz MIMO radio going to a MIMO panel antenna, shooting to the same setup maybe 220-300 yards away. The antennas will not be farther than 12 feet from the radios.

The reason I’m asking is primarily for esthetics. LMR-240 is a lot easier to manage and dress than LMR-400. Most manufactures sell pre-bundled LMR-400 cables and I have been advised against using LMR-240 with a MIMO setup. But I haven’t got any real answers as to why.

The 400 series incurs about 6.6db loss per 100ft (.066db/ft)
The 240 series incurs about 12.5db loss per 100ft (.125db/ft)

I’m aware of the db loss between the 2 cables. But are there other variables I need to take into consideration such as bleeding due to less shielding on LMR-240?

Thank you in advance for your time.
