Default 500 mw
I want to put a 30dbi antenna on my pci 802.11n wifi card but is not 500mw.
Is it 500mw power necessary for putting high range antenna to work? For what is all about the 500 mw power existing on some wifi adapters? Also it has three detachable antennas. Does will download faster and receive even more far if i connect another two antennas? If not then can you give of a name of a adapter that is 500mw and most preferably pci that has 3 three detachable antennas? I prefer it to has an atheros chip. Also what exactly the wifi amplifier do? Does 20 watt really works as 500 dbi or does it has limitation to 40 dbi?
