Question Atheros and xmitDataRate

Hello Guys,

I have an issue about WMI parameter of Atheros cards (comes with card drivers).
There is an object:

Code:
objAtheros5000_SiteSurveyInfo.xmitDataRate
Unlike

Code:
objAtheros5000_DiagEverything.AthRcvDataRate
which shows data rate (in MBit/s) compatible with 802.11g standard (that is: 6,9,12,18,24,36,48,54) - xmitDataRate shows values like for example 51 or 52 MBit/s.

Does anyone have any idea what this variable reflects and how it is possible that device communicates with AP using other data rates than described by IEEE?

Thanks in advance
