belkin and netgear

i have a belkin ( F5D8631-4) and a Netgear (DG834N). The netgear router has the WDS feature.

My configuration
a) Belkin connects to the Net via PPPOE and provides wired and wireless connectivity in my home office.

i have another device (old laptop) in the living room that only has ethernet connectivity and would like to use the Netgear router to provide this connectivity and act as access point to the Belkin router. Is this possible . I have tried numerous configurations and just cannot get it to work

you ideas and help would be appreciated
Please note i would not like to disrupt the Belkin setup (if at all possible) as this provides VPN connectivity with another Cisco router.

The belkin f5d8631 does not support WDS, therefore there is no way that you are going to wirelessly bridge both. the only thing you can do is to run a cable from the belkin to the netgear and then you could configure the netgear as an acces point.
