bypass wireless switch

hey i hope im positing this in the right spot...
my switch is broken and constantly turns off when im browsing the web. ive surfed around but cant figure out how to turn the wireless on or off through the control panel on a laptop.
im looking for a way to just leave the switch on "off" but have the wifi active anyways.
