Combine-A-Line

Hi,

Just bought a gadget called a "Combine-A-Line" from eBay. The plan is to use it to combine the inputs from a VOIP source and standard telephone source on one phone instrument. It does this well. Additionally, I want to set it up so that all outgoing calls are automatically steered to the VOIP channel. It appears that this may be possible but the instructions are meagre, to say the least.

Anyone out there with any knowledge of this new box?

Hi Jack.

I too was looking at this box for doing just that, but there is one major flaw. It will not AUTOMATICALLY switch outgoing calls to VoIP

It remembers which incoming call was last made, so if the call came in through your land-line, and you make a call, it will then use the land-line and not the VoIP route.

I wished that device would have an automatic default to route outgoing calls via VoIP always (but it does not).

Any other device out there that will do this correctly?
