Connecting WPN824 wireless router to a Zyxel P-600 series modem

Hi there

I am despeartely trying to connect my wireless router to an adsl modem which is
connected to the phone line . I have an ADSL service.
My connection is trying to look like this phoneline -> modem ->(ethernet) router->(wirless) To computers. My IP is dynamic (from ISP).

When I use the modem as a server connected to a single computer I have internet access , so I know the modem and internet access are working.However when I connect the router to the modem suddenly I cannot access the internet although the router can pick up a dynamic IP in the setup.

It seesm as if the router and modem are not alking to each other . How should I set this up so it works .

cant say for sure but it sounds like your modem and router are using the same ip address, you will need to open the routers config page and change the ip address to something in your modems ip range, i have the same modem your using and running the same setup your trying for..

I have exactly the same problem with exactly the same modem and router.

Did that suggestion work for you? If so, can you please share any tips, such as the IP address that you used with the modem.
