I have an Xbox in my sons room and he wants to access the internet on it.
We have a broadband account with talk talk and are using a BT Voyager 9021 wireless modem which we use a couple of laptops to acess.
I have aquired a D-Link DWL-900AP wireless access point which I beleive I will be able to plug into the xbox (cat5) and access our modem via wireless.
I can't however seem to get the D-Link to work.
On our laptops you have to enter an encryption key to access our wireless modem. I presume therefore that we need to enter this into the D-Link wireless access point as well?
I have been to the encyption tab on the software for setting up the d-link however it wants a 124bit key. The current key we use is an ascii key (c36y66258x68). I;ve been to a webpage which converts ascii to hex but the outcome is 12 hex numbers but the d-Link requires 13.
